There are some pictures below the map of some of the places we love to visit...
- Fox Island Thoroughfare A great place to sample Maine’s island life. Separates North Haven on the north and Vinalhaven on the south. |
- Stonington on Deer Isle A good blend of a working water front and artist community. Great theater, food, shops etc.... and did we mention the sunset? |
- Bucks Harbor At the beginning of the westard end of Eggemoggin Reach this is one of our favorite places to stay!!! Hot indoor or outdoor showers, New York Times and a bottle of wine. Schooners often stop by for the evening and seals stop by too. A beautiful lighthouse to boot! |
- Isle au Haut Wait!!! The cars have no tags or inspection and the drivers often too young for a license... welcome to remote island living. PS. The "yacht" in the foreground can be yours... house not included. More information <http://www.isleauhaut.net/> |

- Eggemoggin Reach Want to learn everything about Wooden Boats? At the east end of Eggemoggin Reach, this is the place to see a zillion wooden yachts from 8’ to 120’ in all their varnished splendor. |
- Sears Island ViVA's mooring at Sears Island a great place to watch the sunset and explore the US East Coast’s largest uninhabited island. Mushrooms, deer, coyotes, moose, eagles abound on Sears Island. |
- Butter Island Simply ~ Our favorite place to see the vistas of Maine’s Penobscot Bay. This deserted island is everything an island should be! |
- Turtle Head Northern lands end of Islesboro Maine’s rocky coast shows all its splender! A major land mark transversing the upper Penobsoct Bay from Belfast to Castine. |
